It was with immense pride that we received, on the 9th of April, an Honorable Mention awarded by the National Agency #Erasmus+ Education and Training, within the scope of the Erasmus+ 2024 Award in Category 7, to the Dr José Lourenço Júnior Foundation project entitled “Empowering to Care actively". It was with this capacity building and training project in the Netherlands that our team began a path of learning, raising awareness, implementing changes in the practice of care, creating new routines and implementing the Snoezelen multisensory approach at Lar Otília Lourenço. Without a doubt, the Erasmus+ Program, a European Union mobility program aimed at citizens who want to have an experience abroad (https://erasmusmais.pt/), has been essential in promoting learning and the personal and professional development of our team. , so this honorable mention represents for the Institution the recognition of its effort, in valuing its employees and the impact of its social action in the community.
